HOUSTON, TX, Dec. 17, 2025
As 2025 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on what our community's support makes possible, and we want you to hear directly from people whose lives were changed this year.
This year, Combined Arms reached a historic milestone: 100,000 veterans and military families served in just ten years. As a nonprofit organization, the work we do is directly impacted by your generosity.
When the government shutdown hit in October, Army soldier Gunner C. didn’t know how he’d cover groceries while paychecks were paused. He filled out a simple online form on October 28, and the next day received a $50 Walmart gift card. As Gunner shared:
“That card helped me buy groceries I genuinely needed. It wasn’t just about the money — it was about knowing someone had my back when things got uncertain. Combined Arms didn’t just offer support; they delivered it fast, with dignity and care.”

During the shutdown, Combined Arms found through our data-informed platform that food assistance requests jumped 49%, while rent or mortgage aid requests were up 23%. We stepped in to fill the gap with our partners.
“During times of uncertainty, even through the government shutdown, Combined Arms has been consistently reliable with their resources and assistance. Providing peace of mind for my family and I. While being overseas, the stress factors can multiply. Combined Arms and its resources have been a blessing in times of need. We are forever grateful.”
- A. Sanchez, U.S. Navy
When historic floods devastated the Texas Hill Country—destroying a Navy veteran’s business and equipment—Combined Arms activated our network, connecting him to Small Business Administration recovery resources so he could begin rebuilding. We were proud to join our partners in serving after the devastating floods.
During the summer heat, the Heat Wave Heroes effort brought immediate relief to seniors and veterans across the Houston area. We helped match veterans with free A/C units.
Combined Arms is the nation’s most effective referral network for veterans, service members, and military families. Using our technology platform, we link the military community with vetted organizations. We also want boots on the ground, which is why we host in-person events to deliver services and connections.
