John Trollinger, a retired Navy veteran who served from 1959 to 1983, had lived on his family’s Kerr County property for three generations. When floodwaters hit at 4:30 a.m., his home, vehicles, and personal property were devastated.
Even while facing his own loss, John volunteered alongside the VFW to help others impacted by the disaster.
Through our relationship with Heart of the Hills VFW Post 1480 and the Texas Veterans Network, Combined Arms was connected with John and provided $3,000 in Hill Country Financial Assistance to help replace furniture and support his return home.
After months of rebuilding, John was finally able to move back on April 21, 2026.
All of us at Combined Arms want to give Globe Life American Income/National Income Division a heartfelt thank you for their generous donation. These funds are helping support veterans and military families impacted by the devastating and deadly floods in the Texas Hill Country.
Our hearts remain with all who experienced devastating losses of loved ones, homes, property, and a sense of security. One year later, we’re reminded that recovery is long and that showing up for one another matters every step of the way.
